Glynne was born and raised in County Claire, Ireland. she started painting and exhibiting her work in her early twenties and met with great acclaim. She moved to Dublin in 1974 with her husband Seån and quickly became the talk of the town when she was given a solo show in America. She never let her success go to her head and remains a mainstay at the local pub on a Friday night.
